New Age Caravans, headquartered in Epping, Victoria, began its journey in the early 2000s by supplying frames to the local caravan manufacturing industry. By 2009, the company had evolved into a full-fledged manufacturer, offering a diverse range of touring caravans. Approximately five years ago, the Walkinshaw Group acquired New Age, during which time the company's product line expanded to include camper trailers, and annual production peaked at around 2,000 units.
With this acquisition, JB Group's portfolio now includes a variety of locally-built caravans, hybrids, pop-tops, toy haulers, and motorhomes under brand names such as JB, New Age, Traveller, Paradise, and LPT. The group employs over 450 individuals across three manufacturing sites located in Victoria and Queensland. Additionally, JB Group operates eight factory-owned dealerships and manages an RV parts production and distribution business.
Collectively, JB Group's five RV brands have produced over 40,000 units in Australia over the past two decades. The company's dealer network has also expanded, currently comprising more than 30 outlets across Australia and New Zealand, reflecting JB Group's commitment to providing quality recreational vehicles to a broad customer base.
In line with its growth strategy, JB Group is preparing to introduce a limited run of upmarket compact campervans based on the latest Mercedes-Benz Marco Polo pop-top people-mover. Concurrently, New Age Caravans is set to launch its own version of the Iveco-based JB Touring motorhome, further diversifying the group's product offerings and catering to the evolving preferences of Australian travellers.
