Since the digital advice solution was launched on 30 January, over 12,000 members have utilized the service, and more than 14,000 Retirement Health Check journeys have begun. Impressively, over 6,700 members have completed these journeys, benefiting from tools that include retirement income projections and insights into the Age Pension.
The firm has enriched the service by offering round-the-clock access to personalized investment and superannuation advice through the My AMP portal, now seamlessly integrated with the AMP Super Lifetime feature. Such advancements allow members to explore educational tools and receive customized projections about their retirement, bolstering their ability to make informed contributions.
Melinda Howes, AMP's Group Executive for Superannuation & Investments, emphasized the significance of these enhancements. Her message focused on empowering members with greater financial control and confidence, aiming for improved retirement income outcomes. She highlighted the increase from just 500 member completions of the Retirement Health Check last year to more than tenfold growth within months of the digital solution's launch.
The early success of AMP's digital advice is reflected in over 14,000 completed Retirement Health Check journeys and approximately 450 intra-fund adviser appointments to date. This innovative approach provides AMP members with simple, high-quality retirement advice without additional fees, underscoring AMP's leadership in digital advisory services.
Looking ahead, AMP has plans to further enhance its digital advice capabilities later this year, expanding into areas such as insurance advice, transition-to-retirement strategies, and more complex retirement planning methods. These enhancements, crafted to offer high-quality advice freely, ensure that members are well-supported by both digital solutions and human advisors when needed.
